This website, hawksworthsaloon.co.uk, is run by the West Somerset Railway Association (WSRA), registered charity 1041901, company 02968284, The Railway Station, Bishops Lydeard, Taunton TA4 3BX. The WSRA is the data controller for any personal information collected through this site.
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use this website. For how the WSRA handles supporter information more generally, please see the WSRA policies page.
When you simply browse the site
You can read this website without telling us who you are. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and there are no comment or sign-up forms on the site.
Like all websites, our hosting provider, Fasthosts, keeps short-term server logs. These record technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. They are used to keep the site running securely and are not used to identify you.
To display our text in the right typeface, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts. This means your IP address is sent to Google when the page loads. Google states that it does not use this information to build profiles of visitors.
When you make a donation
Our donation form is provided by Donorfy, the supporter database used by the WSRA. When you donate, the details you enter go directly to Donorfy and its payment processors. They do not pass through or get stored on this website.
We use the information you give us when you donate to:
- process your donation and send you a receipt
- claim Gift Aid from HMRC, if you have asked us to
- keep accurate financial and charity records, as the law requires
- send you news about the saloon and the WSRA, but only if you have chosen to hear from us
Your donation is placed in the Hawksworth Fund, a restricted fund for this saloon. We do not sell or swap your details with anyone. Full details of how the WSRA uses and protects supporter information are on the WSRA policies page.
The Donorfy form may set its own cookies that are needed to process your payment securely.
Cookies
This website itself only sets cookies for people who log in to manage the site. If you are just visiting, it does not set any cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
